Altar boy robe made by Janice Labas for her four sons. Purple silk with yellow trim. It has designs all throughout it, front and back, buttons up from both sides. Cross on the back. The color purple in Byzantine Catholic vestments was used on Saturdays and Sundays during Great Lent.

Robe for an altar boy in the Byzantine Catholic Church. Yellow/gold silk with green trim, has patterns on the front and back and a cross on the back. Buttons on both sides. Yellow or gold is the most commonly used color, worn when the service did not fall on a holiday. White is used for the following holidays/days: Pascha, Nativity, Theophany, Other Great Feasts of the Lord. It was also sometimes worn at funerals.
