Yellow or gold is the most commonly used color, worn when the service did not fall on a holiday. White is used for the following holidays/days: Pascha, Nativity, Theophany, Other Great Feasts of the Lord. It was also sometimes worn at funerals.

Yellow was a common color used for vestments in the Byzantine Catholic Chuch, usually worn by priests and other officials during religious services when there were no other holidays.
