Reddish brown robe for a Byzantine Catholic altar boy with gold trim, flower and leaf design on front and back and cross on the back. The color red was worn on: Holy Thursday, Feast of the Cross, Feast of John the Baptist, Feasts of Martyrs, Nativity Fast, Apostles' Fast, Dormition Fast (except during one of the Great Feasts of the Lord or Theotokos). It was also worn on Christmas. |
