Lid for marbleized slate box, rectangular with shallow pyramid top. Made by the donor's grandfather, who was skilled in marbleizing. He came from Wales to Fair Haven VT. Donor's father born in Fair Haven in late 1800s. Made to resemble fireplace mantle in her home. |
