The Labas boys with their mother, Anna, in Granville's Alley. The oldest is John "Abe" Labas, George Labas, Michael Labas, Andrew Labas, and the smallest (youngest) Alex Labas. John and Anna also had one daughter, their oldest child, Mary Labas Billow, who was born in the old country and not in this photograph.

Black and white image the sideyard at Anna Labas' home on Factory Street in Granville, NY. Anna Labas was a Carpatho-Rusyn immigrant from Slovakia who originally settled in the Alley in Granville with her husband, John. They lived in a longhouse in the Alley for several decades and had several sons. After the boys returned from miltary service during WWII, they sold enough slate to buy their mother this house.
